How To Watch Adult Content on VR Devices

Its one of the first questions people have when they explore, or even buy, a virtual reality headset. Is it possible to watch adult content and how do we do that?

The answer is yes, it is possible.

So there’s a heck of a lot of VR headsets on the market, and some you likely can’t afford (just keeping it real). There are different ways to watch this content depending on the type of headset.

Meta Quest 3

The Meta Quest 3 is Meta’s latest virtual reality (VR) headset, released as a successor to the Quest 2. It features significant improvements in design, performance, and mixed reality capabilities. The Quest 3 boasts a slimmer, more comfortable design with enhanced optics, including improved resolution and a wider field of view for a more immersive experience.

In essence, you just need to click on the browser. There are a number of video sites that allow you to then watch. That felt a little too easy, so let’s move to a more complicated, and also, pricier, option.

Apple Vision Pro

The Apple Vision Pro is Apple’s first mixed reality headset, blending virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) into a seamless, immersive experience. Announced as a breakthrough in spatial computing, the Vision Pro is designed to overlay digital content onto the real world, creating an interactive environment for work, entertainment, and communication.

The Apple Vision Pro, at $3K+ pricing, definitely falls into an unrealistic purchase for most of us. But hey, maybe some of you folks are balling enough to have one. One thing to note is that Apple doesn’t seem to want you to watch adult content on their device. But there does seem to be a potential way around that. See below:

Open the settings and select the Apps.

Now, open Safari. Safari is Apple’s on-board browser.

Select Advanced.

Select Feature Flags.

Look for Experimental XR Features and enable WebXR Device API and WebXR Hand Input Module (its not as complicated as it sounds).

Under WebKit Feature Flags, enable WebXR Augmented Reality Module and WebXR GamePads Module.

Exit the settings.

Now if you can open Safari, you should be good to go.

But don’t get your hopes too high, Apple is always very restrictive even when all settings are enabled. Users can choose apps that permit adult content, but it doesn’t mean it will all show up. That’s an important distinction.
