Steam’s House Party has been a hit since its launch in 2017. And when I say “hit,” I more mean a polarizing existence. There’s a lot of House Party haters out there that don’t appreciate the 3D point and click style game that features a rather shallow topic. That said, there’s a lot of dope aspects to House Party when you look beyond some of the critics’ assertions.
Our House Party review dives into more than the outer layers. We’re gonna peel it all back like a summer orange and get to the good stuff (if there is any, of course).
So let’s get started.
House Party Review
You’re new to town. And your new to the town’s scene. House Party begins with a golden opportunity. A friend invites you to a party and you’ll immerse yourself with the sexy nightlife of a smaller town. You’re of course, hoping to score.
House Party is an Eekl Games Inc conception. The development of House Party focused heavily on graphics and audio experiences. Moreover, it’s laden with meaningful dialogue. House Party is a full-on social and dating simulations style game experience.
You can expect lots of interactions throughout the game. You’ll need to make lots of decisions, as well. With stellar, eye-popping graphics, the House Party experience often feels deeply immersive.
House Party offers a pretty extensive tutorial to start. The tutorial helps you get acquainted with the navigation and dialogue opportunities. As mentioned, it’s long, but worth it as it ramps you up relatively quick.
There are 12 people at the party that are eligible for sexual encounters. You’ll need to work the room. Interactions are known as opportunities throughout the game.
Opportunities are moments where you interact with potential hookups. House Party will offer you hints that help you navigate the dialogue so that you land the opportunity. Sometimes going after certain opportunities can screw you out of other opportunities. Yes, its social chaos, just like a real party.
There’s a big caveat to House Party – Opportunities aren’t terribly difficult to navigate, but they also aren’t easy. There’s no gimmies. You need to work at it. At times, you may feel frustrated trying to advance an opportunity but failing.
Some of this is due to House Party’s build. Its not only about hooking up, per se, but also creating meaningful connections. House Party absurdly is a deeper level game than most people think. The party graphics make you feel its merely a shallow drunken frat party, but its reality is a bit different.
House Party is built on social simulation. This could serve as a theraputic experience for those not naturally inclined to socialize at parties.
The House Party characters are built to like. There aren’t a lot of offensive folks in the mix. You end up liking most of the people you meet (at least, we did). Some of the characters are funny and many are witty, but they all aim to get along. Because of this, you tend to want to get intimate with more characters than you think.
That said, there can be drama with bros that erupts, particularly when you come on to a girl that one of the local bros is into.
Graphics & Audio
The graphics in House Party are the absolute headline showing of this game. They are outstanding. These 3D character renders are vibrant, fluid, and realistic (at times). Yes, the artistry yields few human flaws which in itself takes away from realism, but overall, its a pretty awesome experience.
The scenery is mostly night-based and uses deep blues. Its all very realistic looking.
Also, the sexual encounters offer sensual perspectives, as you’ll see below in our gallery.
The audio is just as important to the House Party simulation experience as the graphics. And the audio is pretty well done, particularly during intimate experiences. The actresses that voice over for the girls are spot on.
One downside is that some of the sexual sounds loop. So it may feel redundant as experiences go on.
Overall, House Party is an impressive 3D dating simulation game that’s got dazzling graphics and great audio. It’s an immersive experience and one of Steam’s top porn games. For the most part, you can’t go wrong giving House Party a try.
